Laying the Foundation
1965
DPI (Distributors Processing Inc.) was founded in Exeter, California (now based in Porterville, CA), with the goal of reclaiming marginal soils using yucca schidigera-based products. The original product improved water penetration and opened up previously unusable lands for agriculture.
1975
Conducted the first studies on yucca schidegra technologies for livestock at Colorado State University and the University of Minnesota, pioneering its application in livestock feed.
Growth and Expansion
1978
Secured our first major customer in the U.S. animal feed industry, Cargill/Nutrena Feed, marking our entry into livestock nutrition solutions.
1986
Obtained the first patent for Micro-Aid® technology.
1987–1989
Expanded globally with shipments to Japan, Canada, and Korea, establishing DPI as an international player.
1998
Launched the Micro-Aid Dairy and Sow Programs, addressing specific needs in these sectors.
Advancing Research and Innovation
1999
Conducted the first studies on the use of saponins for protozoa control, setting the stage for future product development.
2001
Launched Cocci-Guard® internationally for coccidiosis control in poultry.
2004
Became the first to obtain a patent for using saponins for protozoa control, further solidifying DPI’s role as an innovator.
2005
Rebranded as DPI GLOBAL to reflect our presence in over 50 countries

2006
Built a new manufacturing facility, tripling production capacity to meet growing global demand.
2012
Expanded focus to include methane reduction, animal welfare, and sustainability initiatives.
2022
Mike Hemann, a dedicated leader with a vision for innovation and growth, became President of DPI GLOBAL.
